Academic Qualifications

PhD (Animal Science) 1996 ( Lincoln University, New Zealand).
BSc. (Agricultural Science (Honours) 1990

Research Interests

Evaluation of indigenous breeds, selection indigenous breeds for parasite/disease tolerance/resistance and improved productivity and domestication of wild species as alternative farm animals.

Research Projects (Title & Role / Collaborator)

  • Selecting Tswana goat for parasite resistance and increased productivity. (Team Leader)
  • Domesticating and preliminary production of Guinea fowls (Numida meleagris) as an alternative farm species. (Team Leader)
  • Evaluating the use of Imbrasia Belina (Mopane worms) as feed resources for livestock. (Collaborator).
