1. Bachelor of Science Degree Programmes: - Duration (4 years/8 Semesters)
  • Bachelor of Science (Animal Science with streams in Ruminant and non-Ruminant)
  • Bachelor of Science (Agriculture)
  • Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Education)
  • Bachelor of Science (Crop Science with streams in Agronomy and Horticulture)
  • Bachelor of Science (Soil and Water Conservation Engineering)
  • Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Mechanization)
  • Bachelor of Science (Food Science and Technology)
  • Bachelor of Science (Agricultural Economics)
2. Higher Diploma Programmes: Duration (3 years/ 6 Semesters)
  • Higher Diploma in Agriculture
  • Higher Diploma in Animal Health and Production
  • Higher Diploma in Forestry and Range Ecology

3. Master of Science (MSc) Degree programmes - in the following Departments:
  • Department of Agricultural Economics, Extension and Education (AEE): Master of Science (MSc) Degree programme (Agricultural Education).
  • Department pf Agricultural Engineering and Land Planning(AEL): Master of Science Degree programme Agricultural Engineering with streams in Mechanization, Land-use Planning, and Soil and Water Engineering.
  • Department of Crop Science and Production (CSP): Master of Science (MSc) Degree(Crop Science) with streams in Agronomy, Crop Protection and Horticulture.
  • Department of Animal Science and Production (ASP): Master of Science (MSc) Degree (Animal Science) with streams in Animal Nutrition, Animal Breeding and Reproduction, and Animal Management Systems.
The programmes are scheduled to begin in August 2009 and would be offered on full time as well as on part-time basis through course work and dissertation. The normal duration of full-time study is four semesters while part-time study is six semesters. Applicants must have a minimum qualification of 2(ii) in BSc Agriculture, or Agricultural Education and related fields from the University of Botswana and other recognized intitutions.
